The Business and Lifestyle Expo was an event to bring as many local Lithgow LGA businesses together to promote their products and services and to network with one another. It was also used as an activation event to launch a new campaign for the region called live. work. play
Live. work. play. Was an extensive media campaign promoting the Lithgow region in Greater Sydney and Regional NSW and was designed to attract new residents and businesses into the region. It drove people to a new dedicated website, created for potential new residents and businesses to the Lithgow LGA region, the Escape to the High Country website – escapetothehighcountry.au
The live. work. play campaign was launched on the 22 March through a Sydney metro train campaign and was followed by a Sydney metro and Regional NSW bus campaign on 3 April and the Nine Now Streaming TV, TV commercial campaign with banner ads on nine.com.au which started on 10 April. The campaign was finally followed by the Greater Sydney Smooth FM radio campaign running for 10 days from 28 April until 7 May.
The escapetothehighcountry.au website and the live. work. play. Campaign are part of a long term five year strategy directed at people considering a tree change.
The Lithgow Seven Valleys region has for a long time needed a campaign and a drawcard to attract new residents to the region. As the young miners and families have been leaving the region over the years, the area has needed new blood to come into the region to ensure that the region continues to grow and to diversify its economic base.
The benefits of the Lithgow Seven Valleys region are: its proximity to the Sydney CBD; its housing affordability; its natural beauty; its proximity to the new Western Sydney Airport and its lifestyle activities. All of which are being promoted through the live. work. play. campaign and the new – escapetothehighcountry.au website.
