All visitors are welcome to drop in on our open days! If your headed out to Mudgee or staying in the Blue Mountains and want to have a country drive please feel free to drop around and try our cheese.

CHEESE TASTING

Indulge in a short talk and cheese tasting and sample a variety of artisanal cheeses hand made on the farm, including both soft and hard varieties. Customers are free to purchase some of the delicious cheese they tasted after the tasting. The farm tour and cheese tasting is a fantastic way to learn about the cheese-making process

FARM TOUR

The farm tour and cheese tasting at Jannei Goat Dairy in Lidsdale is a unique and memorable experience. Visitors will enjoy a tour of the farm, which includes a talk at the Does, Bucks, and Kids areas. In the shed, visitors can take photos and even hold the adorable baby goats (in baby season August, September).

After the tour, visitors can indulge in a cheese tasting and sample a variety of artisanal cheeses made on the farm, including both soft and hard varieties. Customers are free to purchase some of the delicious cheese they tasted after the tour. The farm tour and cheese tasting is a fantastic way to learn about the cheese-making process and get up close and personal with the goats while enjoying some delicious cheese.

Opening Hours

Summer, Spring and Autumn:

9.00 – 5.00 Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday’s. Other times by appointment.

Winter:

During winter Jannei operates as usual except for two weeks in which we are closed. We are also open for the school holidays in July except for Sundays.

Closure dates this year are 27th of July to the 10th of August. Cellar door opens again on 18/08/ 2023.

From Sydney you just follow the M4 to Lithgow (approx 2hrs drive) and through. About 10mins out of town you will see the Mudgee turn off.

Take this Road as you follow it you will pass a Power Station and than 2 mins later cross a bridge and head up a hill as you start to descend the hill you will see a turning lane on your right, this is our street. You will see us on the corner and our driveway a little way up from there.
